Vanilla Coffee:
Recipes & Flavour Notes.

How to make vanilla coffee at home — hot, iced, and high-protein — without turning it into a sugar bomb.

What is vanilla coffee?

Vanilla coffee is coffee carrying vanilla aroma — from a pod steeped with the grounds, a few drops of extract, a pump of syrup, or a blend that's already flavoured. Vanilla is not sweet on its own; it only smells sweet. That's why a cafe vanilla latte tastes sugary (that's the syrup) while a vanilla-flavoured blend can taste rich with almost no sugar at all.

How to make hot vanilla coffee

  1. Heat 200 ml water to 80–90°C — off the boil, so the aroma doesn't burn off.
  2. Add one Blackn Brownn Vanilla protein coffee sachet (or 1 tsp instant coffee + ½ tsp vanilla extract) to the mug.
  3. Pour 50 ml of the water in first and stir to a smooth paste — no lumps this way.
  4. Top with the remaining water, or 150 ml hot milk for a vanilla latte.

Iced vanilla latte (2 minutes)

  1. Stir 1 sachet into 50 ml warm water until completely smooth.
  2. Fill a glass with ice and pour in 180 ml cold milk.
  3. Add the coffee paste, stir 10 seconds, or shake in a bottle for a foamy top.

Vanilla coffee without syrup

Two ways to keep the flavour and lose the sugar: steep half a split vanilla pod in the milk while it warms, or use ½ tsp of pure vanilla extract per cup. Both give you the aroma at zero added sugar — a standard cafe vanilla latte carries roughly 15–20 g of sugar from syrup alone.

Three vanilla variations

Vanilla Cinnamon Latte

1 sachet + 200 ml hot milk + a pinch of cinnamon on top.

Vanilla Cold Foam Coffee

1 sachet over ice and milk, topped with milk whisked to a soft foam.

Vanilla Protein Shake

1 sachet + 250 ml cold milk + ice, blended for 20 seconds.

Vanilla coffee with 5 g of protein

Our Vanilla sachet is a 12 g single-serve arabica blend with 5 g of protein — the same creamy vanilla cup, but one that actually holds you until lunch. It dissolves in hot water or cold milk in about 30 seconds.

Shop Vanilla protein coffee — or grab the Try Pack to taste Vanilla next to Hazelnut, Butterscotch and Regular first. Prefer a jar? The freeze-dried Arabica Vanilla is on the shop page too.
